Supporting and driving the arts in the area for over 30 years, Arts Council For Chautauqua County continues to serve the community through education, promotion, exhibition, support and more.
Our organization has had yet another successful year by continuing long-existing programs, while adding public art and a new gallery into the mix.
We recently closed “These Are Days”, an exhibit which celebrated the storied career of 10,000 Maniacs. Coming in 2012 will be the second edition of 3rd Street Canvas, as well as exhibitions featuring the work of Jennifer Gooch, Creative Arts Of Women, Chautauqua-Lake Erie Art Trail and Active Artists Alliance.
In the summer, we will look back at the history of the Jamestown furniture industry, through an artist’s lense. Photos, artifacts and modern art inspired by the original furniture will be on display for the public to see.
The inspired Youth Series at the Reg Lenna Civic Center will present David Parker and Hot Peas ‘N Butter to area students and our roster of creative teaching artists will continue to blend their inspired art into classroom currriculum.
WRFA-LP remains the area’s only low-power community radio station, programming informative and engaging nationally syndicated and locally produced shows.
