What is the Arts Council?
The Arts Council for Chautauqua County was formed in 1979. Within five years, the Council started to grow into a county wide agency with services to arts organizations and artists, as well as starting its first arts newsletter, Artifacts. The Council's growth into Arts in Education, Community Services, Arts Services and Property Management and Development has been a story of opportunity and committment to its mission: Recognizing that a community which encourages, supports and fosters the arts empowers its citizens to think, work and live creatively, the Arts Council for Chautauqua County works to provide an enviroment in which the arts thrive.

Where is the Arts Council?
The Arts Council for Chautauqua County is located at 116 East Third Street in Jamestown, New York. The offices are located over the Reg Lenna Civic Center; which is halfway between Pine and Spring Street on the south side of the street.

Coming from the New York State Thruway (Highway I-90), get off at exit 59.

Turn left on to Rte 60 South. At the city line, stay on Main Street.

Turn Left (East) on to Third Street and we are located in the second block on your right.



Coming from I-86, get off at Exit 12 and turn south on to Main Street (Rte 60).

Turn Left (East) on to Third Street and we are located in the second block on your right..

Parking is generally available in the parking ramp directly across from the Arts Council Offices. There is metered parking on the street.
