Instrumental Music – Elementary

PLAY THE GROOVE STEEL DRUM WORKSHOPS Grades 4-8.
The purpose of these workshops is to give the student the opportunity  to play the groove of such styles as: calypso, reggae, latin and Island music.  Simple familiar songs such as Dayo, Marrianne are used.
Students will learn how the conga beat fits the style of music. Singing and ukulele performance are
included. Confidence & self esteem are nutured through the accomplishment of music making. Workshop groups can perform for assemblies or parties.  NYS Learning standards Arts – 1-4
