Universal Hand Drum Workshops Grades: K-12
Incorporating African Drumming and Song, your students focus on building
purpose and connection with others, nurturing listening skills, exploring their
creativity and developing new leadership skills. Most importantly, playing in a group gives children a sense of belonging and community. Each instrument played is an integral part of the whole. Instantly accesible rhythms give an immediate sense of achievement that builds confidence. Students will learn West African, Central Africa, Haitian rhythms and more on West African Djembe drums and djun-djuns.
