Exploration in art through mixed media, concentrating in painting. K-6

COLOR & PEACE
Discover meanings of the colors around you and how they are said to effect your emotions. Through color mixing in paint, learn how to relate to and manipulate color to say something specific. Children will learn the color wheel and how to correctly mix paint as well as being in touch with their emotions and their perception of the world around them. Children will find ways to vent through art to show exactly how they feel in a safe environment.

DROP CLOTH ART – MOVEMENT
Discover the connection of music and art through painting with movement. Children will choose a favorite song or type of music and will choose a color and step into the paint with bare feet, then dance, walk, hop, shuffle across a large drop cloth canvas. The movement is shown by whats left on the canvas from painted feet, giving a whole new look to music via steps taken in feeling the songs.
